Composer: Telemann, Georg Philipp

Publisher: Presser

Edition: 164-00084

Telemann Minuets
for flute, oboe, clarinet, and bassoon
by Georg Philipp Telemann (1681-1767)- German Baroque composer

Arranged and edited by Frederick K. Polnauer. The six minuets of the present edition are taken from a work entitled, "Sept fois et un Menuet; sieben mal sieben und ein Menuet , von Melante, Hamburg, 1728." (seven times seven and one minuets). "Melante" is an anagram of Telemann's name which he used as a pseudonym. The 50 minuets are written in the keys playable on keyboard instruments prior to the use of equal temperament. The original consists only of the melody and the figured bass.
