This rising star is a talented conductor, performer, and composer. This Sonata is a wonderful new addition to the repertoire and is suitable for the advanced college or professional musician. Written in 2007 for Harrison Hollingsworth, this is contemporary music with a unique and colorful voice. There are three interconnected movements, each separated by a bassoon cadenza. The seed of the piece is a series of three jazz chords, c minor, Eb Major, and F Major.
