Dominik Schulz has arranged many pieces for double reed choir, many of which you will find in the TVM catalog. This edition includes 3 selections from Carl Maria von Weber's early opera Der Freischutz: Adagio; Molto vivace; Allegro, Ariette, and Entr'acte. The first selection is scored for 3 English Horns, Bassoon, and Contrabassoon; alternate parts for oboe for the first two voices are provided, in which case the instrumentation is the more standard 2 oboes, EH, 2 bassoons (bassoon 2 dbls contrabassoon for the introduction of the first section). Performers and audience alike will enjoy this fine arrangement.
