Breve Duo Latino requires the projection of intense, nervous energy in the outer sections and an intense, expressive lyricism in the inner section. This is greatly facilitated by keeping the tempo moving briskly and by the avoidance of settling into a less urgent, comfortable tempo. The middle section will best retain interest by maintaining the vital forward motion, while portraying the colorful, passionate abandon of the tango style.
