Romance in G Major Op 26-BSN

Composer: Svendsen, Johan

Publisher: TrevCo

Edition: 1914

$8.00

Romance in G Major Op 26
for solo bassoon, with the accompaniment of piano or orchestra (not included)
by Johan Svendsen (1840-1911)- Norwegian composer, conductor, and violinist

Arranged by Kristian Oma Ronnes.
In contrast with his close friend, Edvard Grieg, Svendsen was famous for his skill of orchestration rather than that of harmonic value. While Grieg composed mostly for small instrumentation, Svendsen composed primarily for orchestra and large ensemble. His most famous work is his Romance for violin and orchestra, Op 26. He was very popular in Denmark and Norway during his lifetime, both as a composer and a conductor.

This edition works as a work for solo bassoon, without accompaniment.
