Two Impromptus 
for bassoon and piano
by Manfred Schoof (b. 1936) - German jazz trumpet player and composer These Two Impromptus were written in a spontaneous manner, and they should be played with spontaneity, in the style of a musical entertainer. They contain unmistakeable echoes of contemporary jazz, with its characteristic phrasings and melodic shapes. This work was written at the suggestion of Mrs. Annelie Kurten, and dedicated to Dag Jensen, and his wife Midori Kitagawa.
