ABOUT THE MUSIC
Reed Class is a short oboe quartet designed to emulate the chaos and fun of a typical reed class session. Involving lots of scales, beeps, odd sounds, and mishaps, players are encouraged to have fun and “act the part” of a being in a reed class gone awry. Experiment with the different percussive sounds with reed tools, make crazy sounds with large leaps, and capture the essence of everything that happens in an attempt to make that perfect reed.
ABOUT THE COMPOSER
