Herbsttag (1986)
for flute, bassoon, and harp
by Miguel del Aguila (b. 1957)-Uruguayan composer

Herbsttag (German) translates to "Autumn Day". It was premiered in Vienna in 1986, and was inspired by the poem of the same name by Rainer Maria Rilke. The composer writes, "It is the atmosphere and the mood of loneliness and existential drama of the poem that I tried to recreate in my music".
