by Louis Lane (1923-2016) - American composer and conductor Edited by Bruce Gbur. This work displays the contrapuntal influence of Kent Keenan. Although the original manuscript is not dated, it was likely written while Lane was a Master's student at Eastman. His own abilities as a pianist are reflected in the accompaniment while the solo part is idiomatic and displays the oboe's technical and expressive potential.
