FROM THE COMPOSER:

In March of 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic stopped the world. Like many, I found some solace from my anxieties regarding the situation through music. As the world changed, we were bombarded by new terminology. Some stuck, some didn’t. Through the early days with hard lockdowns, I was able to get myself away from the news through improvisations based on the new verbiage. Thankfully, as I edit this in July of 2021, it appears that we are through the worst of it, but the world will never be the same, and these five movements will allow me to remember these incredible (not in a good way) times.
