This work introduces several aspects of contemporary composition: timbral fingerings, greater freedom with tempo and use of rests (long and short fermatas, commnas, caesuras) as well as fingering trills (bisbigliando) and a multiphonic. A good solo to introduce the concept of extended technique without being over the top difficult!
