Arranged by Christopher Weait. Before the age of coal-fired boilers, steamboats and steam engines, had to stop frequently to add wood to heat up their boilers. Then they did so, it was called "wooding up". John Holloway's Wood-Up Quickstep was widely popular and appeared in many different arrangements after its initial publication in the 1830's. Originally composed expressly for the anniversary of the Washington Light Infantry and performed by the Boston Band on the October 17th, 1834
