Two Trios Op 18 (Score & Parts)-2CL/BSN or CL/2BSN or CL/BSN/CEL
Publisher: Amadeus (Switzerland)
for clarinet, bassoon (or two clarinets) and cello (or bassoon)
by Jean-Baptiste Wanhal (1739-1813)- Czech composer
In the 1770s, Wanhal had printed in Paris Six Trios for clarinet, bassoon (or two clarinets) and bass (cello). The unusual, almost unique scoring of these pieces makes them a valuable addition to the chamber or house music. They belong to the early literature for clarinet, although the instrument is not et treated in a specific way.
Parts are provided (per Wanhal) for performance as a trio of 2 clarinets and one bassoon or one clarinet and two bassoons.
