Edited by Alexander L. Suder. This work was composed as early as 1916, and shows remarkable vigor in the time since its creation. It has been repeatedly performed by violinists, cellists, clarinettists, as well as bassoonists. They all appreciate an independant, strong, expressive and ample melody for solo voice paired with a linear-polyphonic structure which incorporates the accompanying instrument while allowing it completel autonomy.
