While the composer was working on a new piece for solo instrument and piano, he was reading Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream". he was fascinated by the intricate confusions in this comedy whereby the figure of Oberon, king of the elves, stimulated the composer's imagination. "Oberon's Dream" carries us away into a musical world of dreams, inspired by a spellbound love story from a colorful magical world.
