Written in 2007, Six Esquisses for two oboes was given the French title to avoid a tongue twister. The captures two friends in a variety of moods, in turn merry romantic, contemplative, mischievous (movement IV, with its nod to Mercury, was composed on Gustav Holst's birthday), competetive and finally in accord.

This title comes as one performance score. There are no individual parts.
