Duologue (performance score) - 2BSN

Duologue is a set of three duets for two bassoons, written in 1997. The first is a tuneful piece with occasional and unexpected little rhythmic twists that give the slight feeling of losing the bar lines, as in a Madrigal. The second is a legato Lament, requiring a nice sustained tone, and the third offers a counting challenge, together with a whimsical title- Odds and Ends. These duets are popular with bassoon players and sit well on the instrument.
