Composer: Phillips, Burrill
Publisher: Carl Fischer
for bassoon and piano
by Burrill Phillips (1907-1988)- American composer, teacher, and pianist
Originally for bassoon and strings, this is one of the few modern works to find a place in the standard bassoon repertoire. It is light, humorous, and entirely delightful to play. It is a popular work for solo and ensemble contests, both at the junior high and high school level. Don't let the relative ease of the technique fool you into think that it isn't a great piece!
The orchestra score and parts are available on a rental-only basis directly from the publisher: http://www.presser.com/shop/concert-piece.html
