The primary instrumentation for this edition is two oboes and English Horn, with a clarinet\/bass clarinet part as the alternate. All options for the trio are provided with this set. For the Argentine premier, a Tango was chosen for the central theme. The Tango is introduced by a contrapuntal Baroque section which returns at the end. Each instrument carries important melodic material throughout the piece.
