This instrument was played professionally for over 40 years in NY and Connecticut.  It has a great sound and plays really well with an upper register that just sings.  The finish is in beautiful condition.  This instrument should be played!  This bassoon is not for everyone.  Some people sound fantastic on it, and others - not so much.  This bassoon has gotten a bad rap because one person tried it and did not like it.  Unfortunately, they have been bad-mouthing it.  You need to try it.
