Shamrock Shore (Score & Parts)-2OB/EH/2BSN

This music is a suite of traditional and original tunes, conveying the feel of Irish music and exploring the contrast between the soulfulness of slow tunes with the lightness and humor of faster ones. The music is played without breaks and opens with a traditional slow Air, which returns after an original Reel. This is followed by Paddy's Green Shamrock Shore (a Waltz) and the piece ends with an original Polka. There is plenty for players and audiences to enjoy, and also no small challenge to the ensemble, not least when both 3/4 and 6/8 time are running simultaneously in the different parts.
